Mutualist Blog: Free Market Anti-Capitalism

To dissolve, submerge, and cause to disappear the political or governmental system in the economic system by reducing, simplifying, decentralizing and suppressing, one after another, all the wheels of this great machine, which is called the Government or the State. --Proudhon, General Idea of the Revolution

Mutualist Political Economy In--About Friggin' Time

The shipment of Studies in Mutualist Political Economy finally arrived from the printer, and I mailed out the back orders today. My sincere apologies to those who have been inconvenienced by the long wait, and many thanks for your patience.

I've been looking into Lulu and Amazon Booksurge, among other on-demand publishers, in hopes of preventing any more headaches in the future. Anybody out there have any recommendations?

Perhaps you could look into getting them printed in other countries, maybe through university presses or small specialist publishing houses. I'd certainly be interested in a copy, but so far I don't see a convenient way to pay for one and its postage (credit cards and/or electronic payment systems aren't convenient).

Digression: Mastercard is not accepted anywhere you might travel, contrary to the advertisements on Australian TV. I've just met someone who recently returned from a long voyage, who found it wasn't accepted on Tristan da Cunha. You might be interested in the lifestyle practised there...

By the way, I've recently had ISP problems. I've sorted out the email blockage for now, but my home page still appears to be inaccessible. Hopefully this is only temporary, so I'm still linking to it. But my ISP has shifted it around without informing me and other users before.

Yay! I've been waiting to get my hands on a copy for ages. How long does it usually take to arrive after it's mailed?

PML,

I don't know about Booksurge, but I believe Lulu is set up to print in multiple countries. So that might cut out a lot of difficulties with shipping costs.

Nick,

Shouldn't be long. I think media mail takes a week, maybe less, in the continental U.S.

Kevin,
Discovered I'd received my copy of your book upon returning from a trip to New Orleans. Looks good! I'm planning on doing a post looking at an issue raised in it tomorrow.

Chris Wage,

I've got plenty of them, and am likely to for the next couple of months anyway.

Nick,

Glad you got it so quick--hope you enjoy it.

Kevin can you send me a copy. If so email me and I will send you my address. And do you take Canadian cheques if not I can pay via paypal. As for publishing/printing if it is a paperback contact Black Cat Press in Edmonton. It owned by an anarchist. http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/bcp/
